My name is Alma Donaghy and I am excited to work with the students of LPS this year.
I was born and raised in The Valley (South Texas) and attended San Benito High School and Texas Southmost College before venturing out to the big city (San Antonio) where I worked at the University of Texas Dental School as a Dental Assistant (smile please). About four years later, in 2001, I met my husband Paul on my first trip to Dallas and soon thereafter moved to Frisco where I have lived for the past 15 years.
After teaching preschool and raising two boys, Troy and Lucas (LPS students in 4th and 3rd grade this year) I began teaching at LPS as a substitute teacher before joining the school full time as an Academic Coach. I’m also very involved with the PTA so you will likely run into me one way or another.
When not in school, we keep very active between our boy’s academy soccer games and futsal (indoor soccer) along with their other sporting activities such as running, biking, football, hockey, and baseball. We usually get some downtime Friday nights when we enjoy a movie and some pizza…
Again, I’m excited to be working with the students of LPS during the 2016/2017 school year in what should be a great year for all!
